Al-Nassr Ends Season Strong, Ronaldo Rewrites Record Books

Al-Nassr closed out the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League season on a high note, securing a 4-2 victory over rivals Al-Ittihad. While the win wasn't enough to claim the league title, which went to Al-Hilal, the match was a memorable one for Cristiano Ronaldo and the Al-Nassr faithful.

Ronaldo, the Portuguese superstar, stole the show with a brace, scoring in the 45th+3 minute and again in the 69th minute. His goals not only contributed significantly to the victory but also etched his name in the Saudi Pro League record books. With his double, Ronaldo became the new holder for the most goals scored in a single season, surpassing the previous record.

Al-Nassr's other goals came from Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who converted a penalty in the 79th minute, and Meshari Al-Nemer, who netted a late goal in the 90th+5 minute. Al-Ittihad managed two goals in response, but they weren't enough to overcome the inspired performance by Al-Nassr.

This victory marked a fitting end to a season that saw Ronaldo continue his goalscoring prowess. He finished the league campaign with a staggering 35 goals, a testament to his enduring ability. While Al-Nassr couldn't clinch the championship, Ronaldo's individual achievement provided a significant positive for the club.

The win also saw Al-Nassr breach the 100-goal mark in the league for the first time in their history, another feather in the cap for a team that has shown significant improvement this season.
